Applications Engineer

Electro-Mechanical Technician

Electro-Mechanical Technician Ordinance Release Equipment Dayton T. Brown, Inc. has a unique opportunity for an Electro-mechanical technician with ordinance release equipment testing and repair experience. You should be able to understand the operation and be able to troubleshoot, repair and replace internal components associated with bomb racks. You’ll compile test equipment and assemble test setups for bomb rack performance testing. You should have good computer and electro-mechanical hands on skills to integrate and operate performance testing data acquisition equipment. Hydraulic/Fluid Power Engineer

Dayton T. Brown, inc. is a world class leader in Engineering and Test Services. We currently have a challenging opportunity for a design engineer in our Test Systems Manufacturing Department. Your prime focus will be to provide technical expertise and project management in the fields of Hydraulics, Fluid Power and Pneumatic based Test Equipment, both for delivery to our customers and for use on in-house hydraulic component test programs. You will primarily design test equipment for hydraulic components such as hydraulic pumps, motors, actuators and servo control systems. You will develop hydraulic schematics, select components and provide technical oversight during fabrication and the test and checkout of the equipment prior to delivery. Project management experience will be essential as well as AutoCAD (Inventor a +) BS degree a must MS preferred. Being a Certified Fluid Power Engineer is a big plus. Hydraulics Operations Manager

We’re a world leader in the engineering and testing of aerospace components. We are looking for an operations manager to grow our custom hydraulic component testing, value added contract assembly and the repair and overhaul of aircraft components business lines. We’re searching for a take charge, technically competent manager who will employ tactical and strategic leadership of this important part of our operations. You’ll formulate and implement full life-cycle program policies from proposal through design and manufacture. As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, production of aircraft component overhaul production lines, build to print manufacturing as well as field installation and service of automated and manual test stands for military and commercial applications. You’ll be responsible for planning, manufacturing and installation activities, ensuring that program deadlines, budget and quality objectives are achieved. The ideal candidate would have at least ten years experience in non-destructive inspection techniques and have an A.A.S degree or the equivalent, be nondestructive inspection certified in Level III (prefered) or Level II by the American Society for Nondestructive Testing with experience in SNT-TC-1A practices. Project Engineer

Dayton T. Brown, Inc., a leader in the Engineering and Test field, is seeking a dynamic, hands-on Project Engineer, versatile enough to participate in and contribute to all phases of a project from conceptual design, to detailed engineering, testing, equipment fabrication management, and system operation. The position offers an excellent blend of office engineering and hands on set up and test. As Project Engineer you will: • Perform various engineering calculations and analyses related to process design and equipment sizing and selection; • Define process controls and develop preliminary engineering drawings • Prepare detailed project cost estimates; • Operate testing equipment to support customers’ product or process development; • Interface with equipment suppliers and vendors; • Assist the manufacturing manager in coordinating equipment assembly and testing; • Prepare project documentation • Deliver projects within cost and schedule constraints involving multiple vendors and coordination of a variety of internal work groups. • Possess a demonstrated ability to communicate status and issues to the customer while building relationships with customer counterparts. • Have the ability to provide concise and accurate status to senior management • Have the ability to work independently and set up a project with regard to the budget and schedule and project plan using the project management tools available within project excellence. • Be able to troubleshoot to identify issues, assess alternatives and risks, and implement solutions while keeping overall project on track. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Must be a US Person • Minimum 5 years engineering experience • BS in mechanical, civil or electrical engineering; • Proficiency in basic engineering computations and analysis • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Microsoft Project • Excellent interpersonal and writing skills • Project Management experience managing technical projects. • Project Management certification, MS or MBA is a plus. • Experience interacting with vendors including coordination of vendor submittals, tracking vendor commitments on a schedule, and oversight of delivering quality products on schedule and within budget.
