DTB Hosts Annual Summer Gatherings - Celebrating Employees and Their Families
BOHEMIA, N.Y. – In keeping with tradition, the DTB team got together this summer for the annual picnics. These fun-filled gatherings offer employees and their families the opportunity to enjoy the warm weather, entertainment, and food while making memories with family and friends.
On Saturday, July 15th, over 200 employees, family and friends filled the Bohemia, NY location picnic grounds for the annual Family Picnic. Attendees enjoyed water slides, tie dye hat decorating, gel tattoos, a strolling magician and mentalist, and carnival games provided by Event Kings, as well as a petting zoo and pony rides provided by Rocking Horse Farms.
Children participated in numerous games to win extra tickets for prizes, including a water balloon toss. Adults enjoyed the new addition of blackjack and roulette played with “Fun Bucks” for a chance to win prizes, and of course the infamous Wheel of Fortune game which delivered multiple prizes including a PlayStation V2R, Powerbeats headphones, a karaoke machine, and a grand prize of $1,000!
Everyone enjoyed popcorn, cotton candy, and ice cream while listening to great music. Florian Foods also provided a great lunch of burgers, hot dogs, brisket sliders, chicken wings, and pretzels, along with fresh fruit and snacks.
On Thursday, July 20th, Mission Systems employees and their families attended the annual picnic at the Corbin Nature Pavilion - Calvert Marine Museum located in Solomons, MD. Attendees enjoyed a bounce house, corn hole, axe throwing, “wheel trivia” that awarded prizes such as iPads, a Vizio sound bar, gift cards, and a gravity chair! A great lunch was provided by Hardesty Haven and ice cream was provided by Bruster’s.
On Wednesday, August 16th, our Wichita Technical Services employees and guests enjoyed a great dinner at Chicken N Pickle. Everyone had fun catching up in person and playing pickleball, corn hole, giant Jenga, and congratulating the lucky raffle prize winners who took home gift cards, Bose wireless speakers, and Beats flex headphones!
And for our many remote employees, we held our annual Virtual Raffle Drawing on Friday, August 18th. Participants gathered virtually via Zoom in their best summer attire including Hawaiian shirts, hats, and sunglasses, to participate in a virtual raffle for prizes including a Weber grill, Samsonite luggage, Callaway golf bag, Capt’n Cook pizza oven, and many more! Winners were selected by a spin on the “Wheel of Names”.
