Low Frequency (Seismic & Shipboard)

Seismic testing is regularly utilized to determine the effects of movements or vibrations from a seismic event (earthquake).

Our horizontal and vertical seismic testing facilities, manufactured by the Team Corporation, offer low frequency, high displacement seismic vibration capabilities to meet the Telcordia GR-63-CORE Zone 4 seismic testing requirements. These seismic testing systems are also used for MIL-STD-167 and MIL-STD-810 vibration and shock testing.

Our full-service, low frequency vibration facility is capable of the following:

• Replicating a Zone 4 seismic event
• Testing payloads greater than 6,000 lbs. with a center of gravity 5 ft. above the table
• Providing dynamic force ratings up to 32,000 lbs. (horizontal and vertical)
• Testing involving a table size of 6 ft. x 8 ft. (horizontal) or 6 ft. x 6 ft. (vertical)
• Testing involving a full rated performance up to 100 Hz
• Providing a dynamic displacement of 10.5 in. with an overall displacement of 12 in.
• Providing a maximum velocity of over 40 in./sec.
