Fungus Testing

MIL-STD-810, Method 508 • RTCA/DO-160, Section 13

Dayton T. Brown, Inc. can perform Fungus Testing in order to evaluate an item’s susceptibility to fungus growth in hot and humid environments. We have several chambers available that provide a controlled environment in which the ill effects of fungus can be tested on various items. In order to ensure that the proper test conditions have been maintained, 24/7 oversight and control samples are included in all fungus tests. At the conclusion of testing, a certified micro-biologist comes on-site to inspect the test item(s).

DTB has tested items as small as handheld radios to items as large as aircraft seats and interior panels in order to determine if fungus damage has occurred.

Our fungus chambers meet the following criteria:

• Measure 4 ft. x 4 ft.
• Can accommodate sub-samples of larger test items
